V: Does is support H265 decoder?
A: We have different hardware and firmware versions. If you need to use H265 decoding and playback, we can customize it for you. The default configuration is H264 ultra-low latency hardware and firmware.
V: Is there an SDK available for that board? I’d like to know how I can customize this software for my needs.
I don’t need the decoder; I want to manage the stream myself. It appears the MPEG transport stream connects to a processor, which then streams it over the Ethernet port.
A: This wireless COFDM video receiver upper board supports TS stream output, but there is no MCU, just a pure hardware. With the help of our baseboard, the COFDM wireless video receiver already has an MCU that can output the TS stream to the network port without hardware decoding by our decoder chip.
V: Is it possible to connect your COFDM video receiver to my computer via network port, using VLC for decoding instead of your receiver’s built-in hardware decoder?
A: In addition to decoding videos through our hardware, our COFDM Video Receiver can also connect to a computer through an Ethernet port and perform soft decoding using VLC player on the computer.
- Your computer wired network is configured with a static IP, 192.168.0.x network segment.
- The IP address of our COFDM video receiver is 192.168.0.215. You can ping it or access the web server directly with a browser.
- Then open vlc, select the menu “Media” -> “Open Network Stream”, enter the following URL udp://@:1234, and click Play
- If everything goes well, you can see the video.
