DVB-T2 MER (Modulation Error Ratio)

Client: I am writing to inquire about the possibility of extracting Power and MER (Modulation Error Ratio) values from a Set-Top Box using an ESP32 microcontroller.

I aim to read these values from the Set-Top Box and transmit them via NB-IoT for monitoring purposes. En plus, I would appreciate your recommendation on suitable products or solutions that can facilitate this task effectively.

ISDB-T.com: There are many different types of set-top boxes in the market, This feature requires your set-top box to support it. By the way, Do you mean cable TV box, satellite TV box, or terrestrial digital TV box? 

Client: Yes I mean to set-top box DVB-T2. I’m looking solution to equipment that has signal output to microcontroller type ESP32

ISDB-T.com: The engineer replied that customization is possible, and ESP32 can read the MER parameter through the standard 232 port série, and then it is up to you to decide how to handle it. The engineer will evaluate it and give you a reply.

If you have other needs or more detailed requirements, please let us know, and the engineer will consider and evaluate whether it can be achieved in advance.

The chip does not support MER parameters, but supports SNR and signal strength. I need a suitable board or solution that can be used to extract SNR, Qualité, and Power of a DVT-T2 signal, ideally compatible with an ESP32 board.
