RV1126 Camera Integration & ONVIF FAQ Guide

I have successfully received the Rockchip RV1126 Sony IMX415 AI-IPC camera (Vcan1764A) and would like to configure it for use with Synology Surveillance Station. I have a few technical questions and would appreciate your guidance:

1. SDK and Configuration Software:

  • Could you please provide me with the full SDK (Software Development Kit) for the RV1126?
  • Which software tools do I need to configure and customize the camera settings?
  • Are there any specific configuration tools for ONVIF settings and network parameters?

2. ONVIF Firmware Update:

  • Is there an updated ONVIF firmware available for better compatibility with Synology Surveillance Station?
  • If yes, could you please provide the latest firmware image and flashing instructions?
  • Which ONVIF profile version does the current firmware support (Profile S/T/G)?

3. Integration with Hikvision Cameras:

  • I would like to configure the camera to work alongside Hikvision low-light cameras in my network. Are there any specific settings or configurations needed for compatibility?
  • Can the RV1126 be configured to match similar ONVIF/RTSP parameters as Hikvision cameras?

4. Synology Surveillance Station Integration:

  • Do you have any tips or best practices for integrating this camera into Synology Surveillance Station?
  • Which connection method works best: ONVIF, RTSP, or User Defined?
  • Are there any known limitations when using this camera with Synology (e.g., H.265 support, AI features)?

5. Default Camera Credentials:

  • What are the default username and password for the camera’s web interface and RTSP stream?
  • What is the default IP address or DHCP configuration?

I would greatly appreciate any documentation, firmware files, or step-by-step guides you can provide. If you have any video tutorials or technical support materials, that would be very helpful as well.

1. SDK and Configuration Software

Q1: Could you provide the full SDK (Software Development Kit) for the RV1126?
A: Yes. The complete RV1126 SDK can be provided upon request. Please contact us for the download link.

Q2: Which software tools are required to configure and customize the camera settings?
A: Camera configuration and customization are done using the standard Rockchip development tools included in the SDK, along with our camera configuration utility.

Q3: Are there dedicated tools for ONVIF configuration and network parameter setup?
A: Yes. The configuration utility in the SDK includes modules for ONVIF parameter settings, network configuration, and stream settings.

2. ONVIF Firmware Update

Q1: Is there an updated ONVIF firmware for better compatibility with Synology Surveillance Station?
A: Yes, an updated ONVIF firmware is available. We can provide the latest firmware package upon request.

Q2: Can you provide the latest firmware image and flashing instructions?
A: Yes. The firmware image and step-by-step flashing guide will be sent together with the latest firmware package.

Q3: Which ONVIF profiles are supported (Profile S / T / G)?
A: The current firmware supports ONVIF Profile S. Profiles T or G may require further customization depending on your application.

3. Integration with Hikvision Cameras

Q1: Are any special settings required for using this camera alongside Hikvision low-light cameras?
A: No special settings are required. You only need to ensure that the ONVIF and RTSP parameters are consistent across devices.

Q2: Can the RV1126 be configured to match Hikvision-style ONVIF/RTSP parameters?
A: Yes. The RV1126 can be configured to use similar video stream parameters, encoding settings, and ONVIF service configuration as Hikvision cameras.

4. Synology Surveillance Station Integration

Q1: Any tips or recommended settings for Synology Surveillance Station?
A: We recommend adding the camera using ONVIF mode and selecting the correct video profile (H.264 or H.265). Ensure that the camera time, stream resolution, and frame rate match Synology’s recording settings.

Q2: Which connection method works best: ONVIF, RTSP, or User-Defined?
A: ONVIF is recommended for full compatibility, including auto-detection and PTZ (if supported). RTSP also works well for basic streaming.

Q3: Are there any known limitations with Synology?
A:

  • H.265 support may depend on the Synology NAS model and Surveillance Station version.
  • AI functions (e.g., human/vehicle detection) may not be recognized natively by Synology unless using RTSP metadata.

5. Default Camera Credentials

Q1: What are the default username and password for the camera’s web interface and RTSP stream?
A:

  • Username: admin
  • Password: 123456
  • RTSP stream: rtsp://admin:123456@192.168.1.168:554/0

Q2: What is the default IP address or DHCP configuration?
A:

  • Default IP address: 192.168.1.168
  • Default network mode: DHCP off
  • If no DHCP server is found, the device falls back to a default IP (please confirm your batch’s default IP; common defaults are 192.168.1.168 or 192.168.0.188).
