Common NMEA Sentences

Each NMEA sentence starts with “$”, followed by a comma-separated list of values.

NMEA Protocol Versions

  • एनएमईए 0183: A widely used serial communication standard for GPS, AIS (Automatic Identification System), and other marine electronics.
  • एनएमईए 2000: A more advanced version based on the CAN bus, supporting more complex marine electronic systems.
