Customer Inquiry
We are solution provider co. to Police and Law enforcement agencies in Pakistan. Currently one of our client required Mobile command and control Centre
1). They want to connect 4 HD PTZ cameras and 2 handheld HD movie cameras with the vehicle wireless network for live coverage and recording.
2). 1 Drone HD Camera also they wanted to connect with the vehicle.
3). They also required same video stream to another ground station simultaneously.
4). Requirement of Hotline with command and control vehicle to ground station.
Kindly suggest the wireless equipment (Tx/Rx) which should have the range in between 20Km NLOS.
Requirement Analysis
This customer needs a mobile command and control vehicle solution capable of transmitting multiple HD video feeds (from PTZ, handheld, and drone cameras) mais de um 20km non-line-of-sight (Nlos) distância. Adicionalmente, the system must support:
- Simultaneous transmission of live video to a secondary ground station.
- Two-way voice communication (hotline) between command vehicle and ground control.
- High stability and low latency for real-time operations.
Given these requirements, the best approach involves a combination of COFDM wireless video transmission e IP Mesh networking radios.
Recommended Wireless Solution
1. COFDM Wireless Video Transmission System (20Km NLOS)
- Faixa de frequência: 280–300MHz or 1.4GHz band (for better NLOS penetration)
- Modulação: Cofdm (QPSK/16QAM)
- Formato de vídeo: H.265/H.264, 1080P60
- Latência: ≤250ms end-to-end
- Criptografia: AES-128/256 for secure law enforcement operation
- Interfaces: HDMI/SDI/AV input for PTZ and handheld cameras
- Faixa: Up to 20Km NLOS (with 10–15W power amplifier and high-gain antenna)
- Aplicativo: Vehicle-mounted receiver station with DVR and 4-channel video recording
2. IP Mesh Networking Radio (for Drone + Ground Link)
- Supports IP video and data transmission between drone, veículo, and base station
- Self-forming, self-healing mesh allows simultaneous uplink and downlink
- Up to 80Mbps throughput
- Freqüência: 1.4Ghz / 2.4Ghz / 5.8GHz configurable
- Supports RC control and video in one link
- Extended range up to 20Km using high-gain directional antennas
3. Hotline Communication Link
- Integrado VOIP over IP Mesh ou dedicated narrowband digital radio (UHF/VHF) for hotline
- Allows real-time command communication between field team and command vehicle
System Features
- Real-time HD video from multiple sources (veículo, handheld, drone)
- Multi-point transmission (vehicle ↔ ground station ↔ command center)
- Baixa latência, high reliability in complex urban or rural NLOS conditions
- Secure encrypted transmission for police and law enforcement use
- Modular system—can expand to add more cameras or relay nodes
- Easy integration with existing monitoring software or NVR systems
Aplicações
- Mobile Command and Control Vehicles
- Police and Law Enforcement Operations
- Disaster Management & Resgatar
- Border Surveillance and Military Field Units
- Public Event and Riot Control Coverage
- UAV/Drone Real-time Monitoring
Perguntas frequentes
Q1: What is the main advantage of using COFDM for this application?
A1: COFDM offers robust NLOS performance and stable video transmission even in urban or moving environments.
Q2: Can the same video feed be viewed at multiple locations?
A2: Sim. The COFDM receiver can be connected to a rebroadcast link or IP Mesh network to send streams to multiple ground stations simultaneously.
3º trimestre: What frequency range is recommended for 20Km NLOS operation?
A3: 280–300MHz or 1.4GHz bands are ideal due to their superior penetration and lower signal loss.
4º trimestre: Can voice communication be integrated into the same system?
A4: Sim, using IP-based voice (VOIP) or digital UHF radios as a hotline between the command center and ground station.
Q5: Is the system suitable for both stationary and moving vehicles?
A5: Absolutamente. COFDM technology is designed for mobile use, ensuring reliable links even while in motion.
