Drone Radio Data Link Compliance for Frequency Testing

This product is designed to meet the technical requirements of RES (Radio Electronic Means) as defined by the State Commission for Radio Frequencies (SCRF) Decision No. 07-20-03-001 dated May 7, 2007.

  • Supported frequency bands: 868.7 – 869.2 MHz with maximum EIRP up to 100 mW
  • Supported frequency bands: 2400 – 2483.5 MHz with maximum spectral power density of 10 mW/MHz and maximum EIRP up to 100 mW

Important Notice: The 1.2 GHz band is strictly disabled, as its use is prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation.

After successful testing and confirmation by the Radio Frequency Center (RFC), the product will be officially listed in the Roskomnadzor Register.

A drone radio data link is the wireless communication channel that connects a drone (UAV) with its ground control station or other systems. It is essentially the “air bridge” that carries data back and forth.

Here’s a breakdown:

  • Purpose:
    • Transmit telemetry data (altitude, position, battery level, GPS coordinates).
    • Send control commands (navigation, flight modes, payload control).
    • In advanced systems, also carry video or sensor data alongside command-and-control.
  • Frequency Bands:
    • Commonly use 433 MHz, 868/915 MHz, 1.2 GHz, 2.4 GHz, or 5.8 GHz depending on regulations and range requirements.
    • Some professional/military links use COFDM, TDD, or LTE/5G-based systems for longer range and higher reliability.
  • Key Features:
    • Low latency (important for real-time control).
    • Long range (several kilometers to 100+ km depending on power and antennas).
    • Anti-interference technologies (FHSS, DSSS, or encrypted digital links).
    • Bidirectional: allows both uplink (commands) and downlink (telemetry/video).

In short, the drone radio data link is the backbone of UAV remote operation — without it, the pilot cannot control the drone or receive its data.
